Butchering Thrift Store Suit Pants






So, I was in the D.I. (or Deseret Industries.....also known as one of the mother thrift stores in Utah) and chuckling to myself about all of the precious cloth and time that went into making so much horrible clothing. I mean, seriously, it's not just that all this crap was out of style, it's that it should have never been manufactured at any time in the history of this world. Oh, the jungles of large floral print rayon jumpers! The profusions of heavily pleated pants! It was amusing and dismal all at the same time. Then it came to me. "Why can't I go green and recycle these poor excuses for adornments? " I figured, I could cut up some of these unflattering, old and tired garments and give them new life! Thus, I bought a pair of dark gray suit pants and a pair of pinstripe suit pants and made this corset set, complete with a nifty little 3-pocket purse. I like them...
