Ruffles Meets Pirates

Well, Hello friends! I'm sorry I haven't been updating my blog worth crap! Please forgive me. I've been busy, to say the very least! I promise to do better!!! For today, I wanted to show everyone the latest custom order that I did. The girl wanted a pirate corset, but ruffly. As you can imagine, my mind went crazy from the moment she mentioned it, and this is what I designed. It's not TONS different from my other work, but it does take a few elements and combine them in a new way. I just heard on the news that Johnny Depp just signed on for a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean Movie. Can I just take this special moment to thank Disney for putting out these movies so there's more hype about pirates and I can merchandise them? Thank you pirates, thank you.

  1. I'm sooo in love with this bodice! The ruffles are amazing! :)

  2. Michelle you are so freaking amazing. That looks *amazing*. Nate was really impressed with it. Anyways, it's great to hear that you guys are doing great. I'm sorry we didn't get to see you last time you were out here.

  3. That's spectacular!!!

PS - I bought one of the blue pinstripe waist cincher thingies from you a few weeks ago, and I LOVE IT! It's just the coolest thing ever, and I feel so amazing in it :) You rock!

  4. I hate to ask this here, but I couldnt find any other way to get in touch with you! I checked out your website and Im really interested in the Corsair Bodice, but it doesnt seem like you're selling them anymore. Has that style been discontinued?

  5. Love this Michelle, great color combination too. Pirates need ruffles too.

BTW there is a large group of us wearing your bodices to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this weekend. So, don't be surprised if you get calls about these "crazy chicks who wouldn't shut up about your bodices until we called you", just a bit of forewarning. Wish you were there!

  6. I know this doesn't really follow up with your blog, but I didn't know how else to get a hold of you. I got one of your corsets at Shrewsbury, and when I got home, realized there was excess fabric on the reverse side that sticks out and throws off the symmetry. I love this corset (it was the last one left of its fabric, totally lucked out)and wondered how much it would cost to have the excess fabric removed.

  7. It looks great! (BTW I checked out your website and under the linky section the thornandroses.com linky gets me to flowers not cloaks and jewelry)

  8. It looks great and very sexy. I like it really much.

  9. ok m'lady Michelle.............this is it darling.....

    yes! You have hit it!

    Ruffles meets pirate goddess....uh huh
its like hardware with lace.......freaking hot!

now for you to make me the special one.......I am calling you this weekend!!!!!!
