just about to leave!

Okay, so I got distracted from my packing for my festival, and it occurred to me that perhaps I should let people know that I might be a slight bit of a slacker for the next week while I'm doing my big pirate festival. I'll be trying to answer your emails, but usually after I've worn a corset for 16 hours and been on my feet for a constant 14 hours or so, I'm so tired at the end of the day at a festival that I go back to my hotel room and completely pass out. Plus, it's sooo tiring looking that fabulous. Seriously. ;)
Anyway, I believe I've updated you on most of your custom orders, but if you need to get a hold of me or are wondering about your order, just shoot me an email and I'll get back to you in at least 3 days. Phew.
Back to packing. I've still got the mannequins, the blouses and the little knick-knacky things to pack, as well as finishing sewing my new tent top. (It's fantastic, by the way! Nothing like running 25 feet of fabric through a sewing machine!)

  1. Hello there Michelle,
I am a recent follower of your blog and your corsets. I first discovered them on etsy. Firstly can I say (though I'm sure you know this already) your work fantastic!! I am just learning to create my own clothes and am finding the going tough, but rewarding, but your work blows me away. i just love it.
Secondly, though i currently live in fort collins, my family is from santa fe new mexico, and i'm thinking of making it down for the fair in november. There were some pieces i had seen on etsy, which i think have been sold that I loved; i believe they are the vixen with tails. I'm looking for something that is pirate/steampunk captain looking, sorta of a cool gender neutral fabric pattern that leaves my shoulder blades open but hangs down in that cool way. Will you have any pieces like that at the show that I could maybe try on? just figured i'd ask, since i'm planning on trying to make it. Hope to see you then, hope to order from you either way, when i have the cash, lol
Thank you thank you thankyou, for all your work

  2. Hi michelle,

I'm sorry to see you aren't going to be at the Shrewsbury festival this year. I just found your website. I'm the one you trade for food at the festival every year. His Majesties Munchies. I was going to see if you wanted to trade Housing for a few costumes since we live right in Philomath, and have a BIG house. WE are also first time this year at the Portland Pirate festival this year, with ice cream, too bad these 2 events got moved to same weekend. aaarrrgh! Oh well if your not already on your way and you get this. maybe i'll see you at the Pirate Festival during set up on Friday, Oh that's today!
    Good Luck this weekened.

    Mary George

  3. I love the blue/gold pirate coat you have in your etsy shop, and had a question (number two of yours, if I can get it...)

I want it super bad, but am in between places to live. Is there any way I could set up a payment plan and get it? It is so lovely and I want it ever so bad.
