Bustles, Bustles!

HOLY FACE! It occurred to me that several of you had asked to see pictures of bustle skirts on actual human beings, as opposed to just mannequins, and I completely neglected that! I'm sorry! Here are some lovely pictures of these stunning girls that I practically forced into my corsets so I could get pictures. Anyhow, just like the corsets, the bustle skirts look much better on human beings that give them LIFE and VIBRANCY!

The really swell thing about bustle skirts is that they flatter LITERALLY every body shape. No matter what size and shape your hips and bum are, they will make you look super sleek and thin in front, and then you'll have this insanely beautiful backside!

If you ever want to REALLY piss me off, just ask me "But, Michelle, won't this make my butt look big" OR "Michelle, I have a big butt, so I don't need any more help." ARRGGGGGGGGGGGG. That's not how it works! If you have a big bum (I don't like the work "butt"...mostly, it just looks so stupid...what a dumb collection of consanants and vowels) the bustles really camouflage and conceal anything you might not like about your backside. They don't make your "butt" look "big" (ewwww, I sound like I should be writing either a rap song or some tacky country song) but they just make you look like one of the magnificent specimens of female perfection from the Victorian era. Man ALIVE, those women were hot...and they were more covered up than almost any fashion era I can think of.
On a completely different note, thanks for all of your posts on my last blog! Just a clarification-"loving" your body isn't saying, "Oh, I'm good and I don't need to change my habits or eat differently." Loving your body is about taking care of it and cutting down on the ridiculous self-loathing that we all seem to indulge in.
Oh, and ONE MORE THING completely off subject. If I published a small, but beautifully photographed magazine/catalog that basically glorifies my company as well as etsy, would any of you be interested in purchasing my little publication? I figured I would include good coupons in every edition, and I would probably only publish about 4 times a year, and I would just sell the publication through etsy and artfire. I would do features on putting together outfits, how to make simple costume pieces to go along with the awesome stuff you buy from me, how to throw a good steampunk tea party, and other random articles that come from my MIND! Basically, it would be like my blog, only more awesome (if you can believe it) with tons of photographs.)
What do you think? It would only be about $5 or something. ??????????????????????

  2. Yes! You should do a catalog. You should offer a 2 for $8.00 special so that people like me can keep one and leave one lying around in a public place where it is sure to attract more customers for you. ;)

    I love the bustles.

also, now I want to be a high-class/couture clown for halloween...

(so far I've run through Queen of Hearts, Harley Quinn, a fairy*ofsorts*, my traditional pirate...and...it's January) Half of which get inspired from drooling over your etsy page.

  10. Yes! That would be fabulous. You could advertising spots in it too for other Etsy or Art Fire artisans you choose to include. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

  15. Oh!! :D I would LOVE to purchase your catalog!! Plus if you ever make another one on pointers for for fellow sellers and / or pointers on home buisinesses in general ** you don't want to give out your corset secrets obviously--nor would I ask you too--but in general on the ins and outs of running one would be dang cool also!! :D Again I LOVE your work and would love to sign up for it if you have it anytime soon.

    Your fan, Amara

  20. I would buy any publication you'd make, particularly to haul with me to events because, no matter how hard I can pimp for you wearing your corsets, it's even better to have a visual of "AND HERE'S ALL THE AWESOME SHE CAN DO." GO MICHELLE!
